Description
This statue is of the Hawaiian Goddess of Hula and sorcery Kapo, elder sister of the Fire Goddess Pele. The town of Kapolei is named after her lei that is said to be the wreath of light that surrounds Pu'u O Kapolei at the Winter Solstice. The solar ring is a symbol of the cyclic continuity of nature and life. Artists Lynn Weiler Liverton and Karen Lucas. Created in January 2003.
