National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific is the resting place for our veterans located in Punchbowl crater in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was founded in 1949 and covers 112 acres of land. There are currently 34,000 graves there. Hawaii's own Senator Daniel Inouye and deceased astronaut Ellison Onizuka are both buried here.
