The aircraft carrier, USS Carl Vinson had been tasked with a mission in the Sea of Japan to act as a message to North Korea. They were out for a five month period setting in the Sea Of Japan in defense of our freedom. My friends and my two grand kids were at the Iroquois Point beach for the day and knew nothing of the ship coming in. That's my five year old Grand Daughter in the foreground waving in welcome.
