Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

I spent two days at the National Park at Kalaupapa, Molokai Hawaii at the invitation of family. Kalaupapa is the former Hansen's disease (Leprosy) colony where infected individuals were exiled for the rest of their lives by the then Kingdom of Hawaii, later the Territory of Hawaii and until 1969 the state of Hawaii. The Axis Deer there were, more or less, a free range wild life that grew into a nuisance there. Hunting is only allowed in some locations and I caught this one in a protected area. Photograph is the copyright property of Craig Wood and cannot be copied or used without permission. FAA watermark will not appear on prints purchased.

About Craig Wood

Craig Wood

My first camera was a Kodak Brownie that I purchased with a $5.00 bill that I found at the age of 12 (69 years ago, so no digital then). My first black and white photos were of the Steinhardt Museum in San Francisco and later the Kon Tiki, Thor Heyerdahl's sailing raft. Needless to say I was hooked. I joined the Air Force in 1960 and traveled throughout Asia. Even after retiring from the Air Force I was still in and out of Asia and Hawaii. My usual choice of 35 mm cameras was by Canon. I've done some 4 X 5 macro photography for a friend's magazine and shot lots of weddings, B Day parties, friend's kids / animals and many other joyous occasions. I'm now retired after working for the government for 42 years so spend a lot of time shooting...
