Description
On a rare early morning visit to Ala Moana Beach Park I took a number of photographs of, what is for many of us that live here, a tourist spot. A little research let me know that the entire park was originally a federal funded depression era work program from the 1930's. The bridge, designed by an architect named Harry Bent was originally a bridal path for horses that could be ridden through the park. Built in 1934 the park was named Moana Park (Ocean Park) and later changed to Ala Moana Park (Ocean Street Park) when a boulevard was constructed in front of it.

Hurrah for having your artwork chosen to be a featured piece on our homepage this week. You have many fine pieces in your portfolio of your works, and I am happy you chose this one to submit for possible featuring in our group on the homepage. It now has reached that goal of being featured in our group, a family of friends and fine artists of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery Group. Congratulations on this fine accomplishment
