Wai'anae, Hawaii is the home of Ku'ilioloa Heiau at Kaneilio Point, Pokai Bay. The heiau was established by historical Tahitian navigator Lonokaeho in the early days of Hawaii. It was devoted to voyagers and a location of teaching and blessings of those same voyagers. This photo was taken shortly after the departure of the history making double hull Hawaiian voyaging canoe, Hokule'a from a week long visit to Pokai Bay, Wai'anae. The rainbow (anuenue in Hawaiian) is seen as a blessing from the heavens. All rights apply. FAA watermark will not appear on any products purchased.

I've done some 4 X 5 macro photography for a friend's magazine and shot lots of weddings, B Day parties, friend's kids / animals and many other joyous occasions. I'm now retired after working for the government for 42 years so spend a lot of time shooting...
